The Artist Co-op at The Clay Lady's Campus is celebrating 7 years of giving back with a FREE event! The Birthday Bash will take place on August 19th from 5:30-8:30pm. Attendees will delight in homemade cupcakes, food and drinks, along with The Ugly Pot Throw and the first 200 guests will receive a handmade gift!
The Ugly Pot Throw is a Nashville tradition. Co-op members, alumni and guests all participate in the Annual "Ugly Pot Throw" at 6:30pm. This began as a practice of letting go of the old to make room for new work.
Throughout the Birthday Bash, guests will be invited to help make a ceramic art installation by ceramic artist and Co-op member, Tammy Gentuso, called The Nashville Clayscape. The border for this installation has been created by Nashvillians depicting their very own homes on 3” x 3” handmade ceramic tiles that will become a beautiful border for the 8’ x 20’ Nashville Clayscape map.
The Co-op is celebrating 7 years by giving back to those who supported our success. As always, we will be donating the shards from the Ugly Pot Throw to The Campus for Human Development mosaic projects. Make sure you come early to receive a FREE handmade gift.
