Cumberland Heights, a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center located just a few miles west of Nashville, opened its doors 50 years ago. Since then it’s become one of the leading rehab facilities in the country, offering assistance to more than 2,500 adults and adolescents each year. A benefit concert took place 20 years ago, and the tradition took off — the annual event has raised more than $3 million to date. In continuation of the tradition, legendary singer-songwriter (and longtime Cumberland Heights supporter) John Hiatt and his trio headline this year’s show alongside Rodney Crowell and Richard Thompson, with a special opening set from comedian Nate Bargatze.
