The Black Abbey Brewing Company has been a big fan and sponsor of the convivial Beer & Hymns events for years, and the communal sing-alongs have been hosted at various venues around town. This holiday season, they’re bringing the show to Mercy Lounge to make more room for an even larger choir. Don’t worry if you’re the type to usually just mouth the words in church — at Beer & Hymns, everyone is encouraged to sing to their ability, and beer doesn’t hurt when it comes to adding performing confidence. Also, don’t take the term “hymns” too seriously — there will be plenty of Christmas carols mixed into the repertoire.
