Attend the Benefit Concert for Etta Britt

Blues, R&B and soul vocalist Etta Britt is a beloved figure among Music City performers and enthusiasts. She’s appeared with a host of greats — from Delbert McClinton to Bob Dylan — and excels in any context or situation. Britt has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and now her industry friends are uniting to help her. Many of Nashville and Middle Tennessee’s finest musicians and vocalists are gathering at 3rd and Lindsley for a benefit on her behalf. The lineup includes Raul Malo, Jeffrey Steele, Seth Walker, Miss Jackie Wilson, Derek St. Holmes, The McCrary Sisters, Danny Flowers and Mabel Pleasure, Lisa Oliver Gray, The Howlin’ Brothers, Pat McLaughlin, Bekka Bramlett and Shane Dwight. There’s also an all-star band assembled for the occasion that features Kevin McKendree, Steve Mackey, Lynn Williams and Greg Foresman. There will be a live auction featuring signed merchandise, gift certificates and more. At a time when there’s precious little live entertainment available, here’s a chance for a great night of entertainment that also provides needed aid for a wonderful performer. Tickets are available through TicketWeb. 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at 3rd and Lindsley, 816 Third Ave. S. RON WYNN
