Description: A bit of everything, from women’s separates and streetwear to special-occasion wear
Look and style: I took elements that I admire from several different decades and blended them together. I then added my imagination into the mix in order to create wearable pieces that won’t bore you to death! Fashion has allowed me to dive deep into my own world. The Blue Moon Collection ranges from something as simple as a blouse fit for a beach holiday to dresses fit for extravagant ceremonies.
Inspiration: The inspiration comes from a lot of different places, but I wanted the clothes to have an air of freedom, comfort and cinematic drama. Movies and art have always been at the crux of my inspiration. I pick a feeling and try to create tangible pieces that mimic that feeling. We collaborated with musician Doug Lehmann for the collection’s accompanying runway music. I gave Doug the creative direction to create a musical experience that makes a person feel like they are dancing, spinning and flying through the atmosphere. My direct reference for him was a scene from the film The NeverEnding Story. Honestly, I think the actual direction was, “Make music that makes people feel like they are flying through the air on a luck dragon!”
Anchor piece: I don’t believe that the collection has one anchor piece; it’s the sum of the parts that create the experience.
