Collection: Festival 2018 is called “Night Bird Flying”

Description: Outerwear and separates for men and women

Look and style: My new collection is a celebration of the light and the dark, the juxtaposition of serious and silly, of sexy and demure. Each of my designs can be worn at least two ways: dressed up or down. The coats convert to capes, and the same metallic sheer dress worn over a velvet shell for a gala can be worn over a bathing suit on vacation or at a festival.

Inspiration: Imagine a woman dressed in a velvet bodysuit with the shiniest sequin-faux-fur-trimmed coat running to the discotheque in Paris in the rain. She still looks amazing and unfazed in her ensemble despite being drenched. Because of the performance quality of the fabrics I use, you can pull a crumpled Lily Guilder piece from your suitcase and toss it right on for an instant wrinkle-free glam look!

Anchor piece: With this collection I really wanted to highlight my technique. I’ve selected bold and unexpected fabrics (sheer bronze over gunmetal sequin, lace over hologram, etc.), specifically in order to layer them in such a way that creates dynamic pops as you move through space.

Lily Guilder’s style: Day glam. You can throw your Lily Guilder coat over sweatpants and be instantly fabulous. If you crossed a lion with a peacock and they got dressed up to go to a Great Gatsby party at a discotheque on Planet Barbarella, that is Lily Guilder. My goal has and will always be to bring out the beauty, wonder and confidence hidden in all of us.
