So far this year, Nashville's art scene has continued to evolve with two very strong Downtown Art Crawls as well as great new shows at the Frist. These official institutions and events are go-to destinations for local art-abouts, but there are still treasures to be found in unexpected, out-of-the-way locations. Photographer Chad Wilkerson recently had a very well received (and well purchased) show at Mad Donna's, and now he's plying his wares at this West Side java joint. Wilkerson's work in Color Encoded seeks the exotic in mundane, the abstract in the ordinary. Get a latte and check these shots out before they're all snapped up.
