Do you have yourself a Chrysler? Is it as big as a whale? If so, set sail for The Basement East tonight, or Uber there if you must. Why? Because B-52’s legend Fred Schneider will be there, DJing his Love Shack Dance Party. That name alone (along with Schneider’s talent for sprechgesang, meaning he does poetry over music) should be good enough cause to get you down to the Beast for this. But keep in mind that the show, or rather party, is for a good cause. It’s a benefit — under the name All for Paul — for the family of East Nashvillian and former B-52’s sideman Paul Gordon, who died this year due to complications from a heart defect. Two former The Voice contestants, singer-songwriter Meghan Linsey and rock and soul singer Sarah Potenza, are also on the bill. ADAM GOLD
