Local Americana duo The Newlyweds are celebrating the release of Oklahoma songwriter Ben Blankenship's latest recording El Conejo @ Drifters Barbecue in East Nashville on Friday, September 21st. "Newlyweds" Ben and Carol are pleased to celebrate on the patio with their good friends Bob's Your Uncle and The Miltons.
Bob's Your Uncle (Acoustic, groove-centered R'n'R, R'n'B, and country played on ukes, accordion, dobro, guitars, bass and percussion... with 4 lead singers) will kick off the party at 5:00, followed by The Newlyweds around 6:30 and The Miltons (American swing ensemble) at 8:00.
Some observers are predicting a bit of mixing (should I say swinging?) between the three bands as well.
