Emily Clayton is our artist for February. In her last post, she gave us a tour of her internet wanderings. Now we'll show you around her physical space.

Studio Visit: Emily Clayton

A full wall in Emily's studio is lined with handmade glass windows that open like doors. The quality of natural light and industrial architecture makes it feel like an ’80s dance music video — big echo-y spaces and beams of sunlight that illuminate specks of dust in the air. On the day I stopped by her studio a lot of her work was already hanging up, and it looked great in that setting — especially the pieces she's been making most recently, with their bright red/DayGlo orange washes of paint. Some of my favorite shots after the jump.
