The Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs show at The End Wednesday night had some stiff competition. With The Cool Kids and MEEMAW setting up shop across the street, and The Delta Spirit and All We Seabees down on Cannery Row, we had some fine options.
We didn't, however, feel like we had made the wrong choice.
If you're feeling a little too clean and proper, and need to get your metaphysical fingernails a little dirty, give a listen to Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs doing "Devil Do," a rollicking, satanic, slide-tastic slice of deep woods rock 'n' roll, as recorded for the special Americana Music Association installment of the Lake Fever Sessions, shot during this year's AMA conference/festival.
