Beth Harwell to Gun Makers: Come on Down!

Posted By on Thu, May 22, 2014 at 12:09 PM

House Speaker Beth Harwell is pandering to inviting gun manufacturers to move their operations to gun-friendly Tennessee.

From her website:

Gun manufacturers are under attack. Liberal politicians and liberal media outlets are demonizing gun manufacturers and passing anti-Second Amendment legislation. Yet, these manufacturers are creating jobs and expanding opportunities.

That’s why I am personally inviting all gun manufacturers to come to the great state of Tennessee.

In our state, gun manufacturers will have peace of mind knowing that we’ve got their back. We’re a state that will always protect our Second Amendment and promote pro-growth, business friendly policies.

Tennessee will not stop until we all have permits to own guns, are carrying guns on our person, allowed to brandish those guns anywhere (including parks and schools), and can even take those guns to work with us at our jobs making more guns.

(Just as long as we don't want those guns in bars, eh, Madam Speaker?)

This seems like a good place for Jon Stewart on assault rifles at Chipotle ...
