Let not your heart be troubled: ABC's Nashville will be back for a third season, and our fair city will still be playing itself.
After the network announced last week that it had renewed the show, reports came last night — from local ABC affiliate WKRN and The Tennessean in an order that wasn't completely clear — that after working out an $8 million incentive deal, the show would stay put instead of taking production to Georgia or Texas. The state, Metro, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp., and Ryman Hospitality all chipped in.
The incentives package is smaller than last year's $13.5 million deal, but Metro will contribute a $1 million grant after offering $500,000 last year. The state is in for $5.5 million.
