While arguing for Republicans to go ahead and expand Medicaid so that we don't tank our hospital system, Rep. Gary Odom asks the question Republicans have no answer for, "If federal money's so bad, why are we just focusing on Tenncare expansion?" Why not cut all federal money from the Tennessee state budget?
Oh, right, because we can't actually function as a state without the massive federal aid we get. But I guess that federal aid is important. This federal aid, which, you know, keeps poor and rural people from dying? Well, I guess Republicans just think that's tough titties for them. Move to the cities, people of Tennessee, and at least have access to hospitals. Just, I'm sure your Republican overlords would appreciate it if you didn't pay too close attention to who's in charge of the cities you're being forced by Republican stubbornness to move to.
