At the request of some members of the Metro Council, Finance Director Rich Riebeling has sent out a memo updating members on the progress of the Sulphur Dell ballpark project and the surrounding developments.
There's nothing particularly, ahem, groundbreaking in the update, but since we have it, here are some highlights:
— "Test pits were conducted on the property with no serious issues discovered that would be unnecessarily costly or cause delays in the development."
— "First construction bid package for earthwork expected to be released prior to February 15th."
— "Embrey Development continues with design plans for its multi-family development on Jefferson Street. Current plans call for a full design package to be submitted to Metro Nashville in April and a July groundbreaking."
— "The owner of the Nashville Sounds has completed most of its land acquisition and continues to work on design and final assessment of overall project scope."
