Tennessee Democrats Have a U.S. Senate Candidate

Posted By on Tue, Nov 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM

The political unicorn that is a Tennessee Democrat willing to run for U.S. Senate has been spotted.

Terry Adams, a Knoxville attorney, announced last month that he had filed to run as a Democrat in next year's U.S. Senate race.

Now he has a website.

Interestingly, former Tennessee Democratic Party chairman Bob Tuke is serving as Adams' campaign treasurer.

State Rep. Joe Carr's Tea Party challenge to Sen. Lamar Alexander seems to be fading quickly, which means Adams would be up against the big dog. Friends of Terry Adams will have to be on the horn early and often if they hope to have a chance at keeping pace with the Lamar! juggernaut, but as Tennessee Democrats have been desperately searching for a Senate candidate, one thinks they might be eager to open up their wallets for the one person willing to step forward.

Note: Larry Crim is also running for Senate (again) as a Democrat. His signs are spread throughout Nashville, like little Easter eggs for political junkies. Underestimate him at your peril.
