Merged Civil Rights Photos Compare Nashville Then and Now

Over at the Tennessean, they have a really cool photo essay where photographer Larry McCormack took archival Tennessean photos from the Civil Rights era (including this one from 1960 by Jack Corn of demonstrators outside the protesters' court hearings) and merged them using Photoshop with contemporary photos he shot of the same spots.

It's really interesting — a reminder both of how much the city has changed, and yet how close our past always is.
