After wrapping up his tenure as CEO of Lead Public Schools yesterday, Jeremy Kane has penned a note, and lengthy thank you letter, to friends and supporters. He also hinted, slightly, at future plans of some sort.
I'm excited to transition into a new role at LEAD for the next year, supporting our new CEO, Chris Reynolds, preparing for our first graduation in May 2014, and serving our staff, students and parents in whatever way they need. I'm also excited that, with a little extra time, I can begin exploring what’s next for me. Whatever that is, I know it will include you and the city we love.
Kane is on the list of names bandied about as potential mayoral candidates in 2015. He hasn't yet said whether he intends to run, but he hasn't watered down speculation either. His full thank you letter, which serves as a sort of farewell address (or is it a soft campaign opening?) is here.
Here also is an interview with Kane from The City Paper, after he announced he'd be stepping down as LEAD's CEO in April.
