Case of the Mysterious Mop Sink: Another Job for the Pith I-Team

Posted By on Tue, Mar 26, 2013 at 12:46 PM

Steve Gill is coming to the defense of Islamaphobes in the legislature who supposedly confused a mop sink with a Muslim foot bath in the men's restroom at the state Capitol. It turns out that maybe the Islamaphobes weren't confused, after all, and this is just another example of the liberal media run amok.

On his blog, Gill posts pictures of the Capitol mop sink and some random Muslim foot bath and—guess what?—they look a lot alike. WTF?

Gill demands to know, "Which is a mop sink and which is a Muslim foot washing pool?" That's the question the whole world is asking today.

Here's what they're calling a "mop sink" at the Capitol:

And here's the foot bath at some unidentified university:

Hah! That proves it, right? Sen. Bill Ketron and Rep. Judd Matheny were right all along! Shariah law is here in our bathrooms and the liberal media is, not only condoning it, but putting out disinformation to cover it up.

We asked the Pith I-Team to look into this, and our crack team of investigative journalists leapt into action. They googled "floor-mounted mop sink"—the kind that has been installed in the men's room—and came up with this picture:

Hmmm. That looks like the university foot bath, too, doesn't it? We don't know what to think anymore or who to believe. Stay tuned.

Update: This dog-washing station also looks like the mop sink and the foot bath. Is that dog-washing station at Wags & Whiskers, my pet store, really a Muslim foot-washing pool? Has Sharia law infiltrated our pet stores? Or is it a mop sink? The mystery deepens.
