Thought for the Day: Larry David on the Fiscal Cliff Deal

Posted by on Wed, Jan 2, 2013 at 11:21 AM

Well, Larry David wasn't really talking about about the fiscal cliff deal when he uttered these words. In fact, it was during a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, and I think he was discussing some sort of arrangement with a prostitute he picked up just so he could use the carpool lane to get to a Dodger's game. Nonetheless, I think it's quite timely:

You're unhappy. I'm unhappy too. Have you heard of Henry Clay? He was the Great Compromiser. A good compromise is when both parties are dissatisfied, and I think that's what we have here.
