Please, Please, Let This DesJarlais Story Drag Out Even Longer!

Posted by on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 11:01 AM

At least, let's hope it drags out long enough for him to be forced to sit down with a reporter who can ask him about this fundraising letter, in which DesJarlais says:

Eric Stewart knows that he cannot attack me on my independent, conservative and pro-life record in Congress, so he has resorted to false, personal attacks straight out of the Lincoln Davis playbook all in an attempt to steal this election away from the real issues: YOUR JOBS, YOUR HOMES and YOUR VALUES.

"False, personal attacks." People. "False, personal attacks." How the hell did Eric Stewart manage this? Is he secretly the world's foremost Scott DesJarlais impersonator? Did he travel back in time and dress up like Scott DesJarlais and fuck four women who weren't Scott DesJarlais' wife? Did he then pressure a woman who thought she was having an affair with Scott DesJarlais but was really having an affair with a time-traveling-DesJarlais-impersonating Eric Stewart?

I mean, how in the world can DesJarlais argue that Stewart attacked DesJarlais when DesJarlais made the recording? Is it not his voice on the tape?

I would love to hear how DesJarlais tries to explain how this is somehow Eric Stewart's doing, because, believe me, I think I speak for all Democrats when I say: If Eric Stewart has the ability to go back in time and fuck things up this bad for Republicans, we're not electing him to office, we're appointing him head of the TNDP.
