Politics On Day of Vote on Budget and Property Tax Increase, Mayor Karl Dean Writes Lead Tennessean Editorial

On the day that the Metro Council will vote on Mayor Karl Dean's proposed budget and property tax increase, The Tennessean is running an editorial by Mayor Dean on the top of the editorial page, above their own editorial.
As one of my co-workers put it, "I guess it really does pay to have an ex-Tennessean reporter as your press secretary."
Another co-worker comment: "Instead of 'Council Should Pass Metro Budget,' The Tennessean should have just headlined their own editorial, 'We're With Him.' "
