Politics Online Petition Against 'License to Bully': 15,000 Signatures and Counting

As you'll recall, the odious "License to Bully" bill — which would allow bullies special protection under the guise of religious conviction — went viral pretty fast, and the indignation came fast and furious from the corners you'd expect: Wonkette and other political junkies. But the proposed legislation has done what few pieces of proposed legislation do, which is to say it has crossed over into the broader culture's awareness — and with a target on its back.
Today, Paramore singer Hayley Williams — not normally given to retweeting TN Report or quoting Chip Forrester — took to Twitter and beseeched her 2 million-plus followers to sign this online petition opposing the bill. I'm not sure what the original goal was, but the new goal is 20,000, and according to SignOn, they've already crossed 15,000, a fact I'm sure was not hurt by Ms. Williams' tweet.

LOL, yeah right - "License to Bully"?! Calm down, these people are just trying to point out that a kid who says "I think that sex between two men is a sin" has a right to say that. That's not gay bashing, that's just someone's belief. You people better wake up. Those who completely dominate the world are using scare tactics against the "right" and the "left" to completely take away our freedom. They tell people on the "right" that muslim terrorists are out to get them, and in order for the government to keep America safe, all liberties need to be surrendered and a police state must be put in place. So now we have the Patriot Act and the NDAA. They tell people on the "left" that Christian groups who put language into bills to protect kids who believe that sex between two men is a sin are actually this nefarious Right-wing conspiracy who are out to bully and incite violence against gay people. If you all do not wake up soon, you and your children will be enslaved.
