Dem Party Chairman Accuses GOP of Election Rigging

Democratic Party chairman Chip Forrester has just emerged from this morning's meeting of the ad hoc committee on redistricting to blast the GOP, accusing Republicans of trying to skew elections in their favor.

This raises extreme concerns. This is part of what we have seen with the efforts to make voting difficult with the photo ID act, reducing the early voting days, and now we have this redistricting map that's making it extremely difficult for Democrats to prevail. ... This map skews the process toward Republicans. We would hope that they would have done this fairly and in a balanced way, and it's obviously not done that way.

Was Chip making an "accusation" or simply an "observation"? What different did anyone realistically expect?

When have Tennessee Republicans dealt with Democrats fairly or elections fairly? Republicans can't win a bubble gum contest without cheating -

Ms. Cash,

The Republicans are not doing anything to the Democrats that the Democrats have not done to Republicans in redistricting for 40 plus years. So what, other than irrationality, is your problem?
