I mean, when I read on this very blog that Ramsey said of Haslam, "When he came in, I don’t think he knew that the legislature met from January until the end of May, that you actually have to deal with these legislators to pass a bill," I thought Ramsey was exaggerating a tiny bit in order to stick it to Haslam and insinuate that Gov. Smarty-Pants needed Ramsey's guidance. Surely a man would not run for governor of a state without having some idea of how the state government works, right?
But Ramsey isn't just sitting back taking potshots at the governor. On The Tennessean's In Session blog, I read that he took the governor out for a little, um, monster golf-carting? Four-wheeling, but in a golf-cart? Off-road golf-carting?
Ramsey says the two will be taking out a side-by-side Kubota, which a photographer needled Ramsey by describing as more of a souped-up golf cart than a real 4-wheeler. Ramsey conceded the Kubota is more of a work vehicle than a sport ATV, but he defended his ride.
Shoot, I'm not governor, but I wish I could audit.
