Politics Our Governor Is a Surprisingly Good Talk-Show Host

You know, I am often suspicious that Gov. Haslam's strategy for leading the state is to hide in his office while Ron Ramsey runs all over Tennessee acting like he got elected instead.
So I am a little stunned and disconcerted by this video. The governor actually comes across like a governor, very statesman-like. I tried very hard to come up with something snarky and dismissive to say but I have to tell you, I think it's a great idea to have budget hearings outside of Nashville.
And I think it's really nice to be talked to like a grown-up. Yes, there's a little cheesy back-patting, but not too much. Mostly, it's just two people sitting around talking about the budgetary difficulties we face as a state.
I could get used to this.
