On Facebook today, Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey lashes out
at critics of the state's photo ID voter law. He ignores Dorothy Cooper and Virginia Lasater
, the elderly ladies who were sent home without photo IDs, or the old war veteran
who was forced to pay for his state-issued card. Instead, Ramsey claims the whole controversy is a fabrication of "a few leaders in the upper echelon of the Democrat Party and their friends in the press."
"Tennessee deserves better than fear-mongering and demagoguing from frustrated Democrats and ill-informed editorial boards," Ramsey writes. "... That is what we are dealing with here: a small, vocal, unscrupulous opposition who believe they are entitled to their own set of facts, their own reality."
