On Facebook today, Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey lashes out at critics of the state's photo ID voter law. He ignores Dorothy Cooper and Virginia Lasater, the elderly ladies who were sent home without photo IDs, or the old war veteran who was forced to pay for his state-issued card. Instead, Ramsey claims the whole controversy is a fabrication of "a few leaders in the upper echelon of the Democrat Party and their friends in the press."

"Tennessee deserves better than fear-mongering and demagoguing from frustrated Democrats and ill-informed editorial boards," Ramsey writes. "... That is what we are dealing with here: a small, vocal, unscrupulous opposition who believe they are entitled to their own set of facts, their own reality."
