When you're talking a park the size of a city lot, that's quite a bit of real estate to give up to a sign. I laughed.
This is a cute little park. There's a nice shelter, plenty of seating, good trees, and a nice sign.
But I'm not sure this is a "good" park. It's on a very busy street. It is supposed to encourage walking, I think, and vigilance in the neighborhood. Yet it's not in a spot in the neighborhood that gives you a good view and it's not like you can easily park there and start walking.
It kind of feels like a sham of a park, like it's supposed to count as a park without actually being functional as one.
Even so, it's a nice sham. So I can't really complain. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out. Just don't park on Shelby. The traffic coming over the hill will not slow down for you.
