It might seem premature for an artist to have a retrospective show at the tender age of 31, but Watkins College grad Max Shuster is bringing a greatest hits compilation of his best work from the last 12 years to Track 13 Gallery at Cummins Station. The venue is becoming a new favorite for us, and Shuster’s photographs and new media installations should make a compelling match for the surprisingly spotless and spacious railroad car-cum-art space. The highlight of the exhibition is a new series of 10 photographs that the artist’s representatives at Cumberland Gallery call “the most elaborate, technical, and highly autobiographical works of his to date.”
