
Following on the heels of its recent salute to boxed wine, TPAC continues its successful “Art of” series with perhaps the only art form that would get a standing O from Homer Simpson. The night’s emphasis is on high-gravity beers, whose fermentation process leads to higher alcohol content and results in a sippable, more complex brew that pairs well with food — something tonight’s event will let you test for yourself.
Brewers and brewery representatives will guide us through a selection of beers from craft breweries Abita, Yazoo and Chimay. Appetizers will be served, including pizza from The Mellow Mushroom, hot dogs and brats from The Dog of Nashville, and an assortment of cheeses provided by Cabot Creamery of Vermont — maker of “the world's best cheddar!” Tickets are $25 and are available at tpac.org.
