Ron Ramsey, Voice of Reason

Posted By on Fri, Mar 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM

Ron Ramsey is hurt and troubled that Democrats are engaging in calling Republicans names like "terrorist" and "fascist."

And, I think we can all agree that it's unnecessary to call our fellow Tennesseans such divisive names, that it does nothing to solve the problems our state faces to insinuate that some Tennesseans just aren't doing enough or are actively working against other Tennesseans, when we all just want to live together in the best state we can.

I, for one, commend Lt. Governor Ramsey for his insights and I think he's right. People who do make broad, sweeping derogatory comments about our fellow Tennesseans for political gain and to stir up their bases should apologize.

So I suggest that right after Ramsey apologizes for calling Islam a cult back when he was running for governor in order to make political hay out of the Murfreesboro mosque situation and embarrassing us in front of the whole country, Democrats apologize to Ramsey for not being nice.
