Basil Marceaux's 15 minutes is over, sad to say. Once an Internet sensation, now he's relegated to bowels of newspaper articles about all the dumb YouTube videos that politicians are producing these days. Candidates are firing machine guns, singing stupid songs, and portraying their opponents as demon sheep or giant rats—all to gain attention for their campaigns and maybe attract some cash and votes. Marceaux's YouTube hit is unusual in that it just happened. He wasn't trying to be loony. He is loony.
