Looking for Mr. Peanut: Nashville Author Adam Ross on NPR, YouTube

Posted by Jim Ridley on Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 5:05 PM

In this week's Scene cover story, we talk to Nashville author Adam Ross, whose first novel Mr. Peanut is building steam as one of the summer's most talked-about books. Here's a link to a piece on NPR's website that includes clips from his interview earlier today on Morning Edition.

We also found this clip from Ross' movie debut as a child actor, playing Alan Alda's son in the 1979 film The Seduction of Joe Tynan. (His part begins roughly 1:30 into the clip; you can see the entire movie in segments on YouTube.) If you own a VHS copy, get him to sign it 7 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Kidd, where he launches his book tour. You can also ask him about the part he almost got that he says probably would have changed his life. Cue the Joe Cocker theme song. ...

Oh wow. I did not know he was from Nashville. I heard the NPR interview and I was really intrigued by the book, sounded like a great summer read. Now that I know he's a local author I will definitely pick up a copy!
