Where to Go for Current Metro Government Flood Info

Posted by Bruce Barry on Tue, May 4, 2010 at 12:51 PM

The place not to find it, oddly enough, is Nashville.gov, the Metro government home page. Although city officials have mentioned it as an information source during briefings, the flood update page has not been updated since Sunday evening.

But someone on the ball over at MNPS has taken up the slack with timely and detailed factual updates on the public school system's Children First! news page. They had a thorough bullet-point list of information items from various Metro departments out of today's 11 a.m. briefing up on the page by just after noon. Nicely done.

Update: As of Tuesday evening the Nashville.gov flood updates page has been reconfigured to feature links to flood-related news releases from OEM and other agencies. The MNPS page continues to update as well.
