Pith Debases Itself by Begging for Media Pass to Tea Party Convention

  • A media pass to the tea party convention would make Pith so happy.
Aside from the three amigos of the conservative cluck circuit--Sarah Palin, Marsha Blackburn and Michele Bachmann--who else is speaking at the tea party convention? Um, let's see, the list seems dominated by people with connections to Fox News or one of its sister organizations. Imagine that. Included is Joseph Farah, the editor in chief of World Net Daily and champion of Obama birthers. He's the guy who raised the money to put up "Where's The Birth Certificate?" billboards across the country. Tea Party Nation is really stingy with its media credentials, letting in only sympathetic outfits like Fox News and World Net Daily. But here at Pith in the Wind, we're keeping hope alive for our own media pass. We'd drape it around our neck immediately and never take it off. We'd wear it in the shower and draw unicorns on it and use it to scratch the 10th Amendment into the bark of the Tree of Liberty (a hackberry in my backyard). We love tea partiers (really we do!) and we're just dying to snack on crust-free cucumber sandwiches and chortle knowingly about Obama the Kenyan. The way they hate everything? We can definitely relate. Besides -- it's Palin, Blackburn and Bachmann! It's like Charlie's Angels in real life, only they're fighting health care for all Americans instead of crime! (What's the difference?) And who could resist that celebrated singer-songwriter and poet laureate of the tea party movement, Lisa Mei Norton? She's awesome! While we're waiting for Bachmann-Palin Overdrive to take the stage, here's a taste of the opening act:

Why don't you try to buy one? Stop asking for handouts. This isn't a Soviet breadline, comrade.

Bet the Tennessean can get you in. They're probably a co-sponsor of this deal - without the editors' knowledge, of course.

Once again "birthers" are mentioned as though insistence that the law be followed is a bizarre anomaly. I heard recently that Obama accepted a Fullbright scholarship to Occidental College as a FOREIGN student. So is Obama a liar or a fraud? I say both.
Mr. Woods is such a trusting soul that he is willing to give government bureaucrats the power of life and death over him and everyone else. If he had cancer, would he go to Canada or England for treatment? The old Soviet system is the model for the legislation currently before the Senate! Don't believe me? Take the time, as I have, to investigate Obama's policymakers, the Socialist string pullers behind the puppet.
The main thing Tea Party activists hate is legislative busybodies who think they know better than us. We have record deficits thanks to the money orgy in Washington and rip-off artists on Wall Street. We have to pare down too-big-to-fail companies and rethink every program and every agency. I guarantee there are plenty of opportunities for bloodletting!

Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.

This is one technology that I would love to be able to use for myself. It’s definitely a cut above the rest and I can’t wait until my provider has it. Your insight was what I needed. Thanks
