Whatlosers. Their claim to fame is a tanning image business? Or is it "modeling" bad behavior?
This is ridiculous. How can people be rallying against the bill? It's a chance for America to come up from the past its clearly stuck in. Look at countries within Europe. They all have government run healthcare. They are all happy with their government run health care. Yes, it means more taxes. However, you will no longer be forced to pay outrageous sums of money to private insurance companies. Think about it.
I know it's not really newsworthy when Marsha Blackburn lies. But it's not really newsworthy either when Marsha Blackburn pontificates and postures at a news conference.
Did you see the Media Matters piece indicating that Blackburn lied on national TV? (And I don't mean Cspan)
Marsha Blackburn should be jumping joy as the Health Care Bill came in on the backs of poor/middle /wealthy women. No birth control pill for family planning. If a partial miscarriage happens will that ins cover for the abortion that will be needed. If a woman/girl/young child is rape she will now be forced to carry the child to full term.
Its great that we have a chance for real health care reform in this country but remeber it was done on the Backs of Every woman and girl.Never forget that. Blackburn and bachmann along with all the Dems who voted for that admen. needs to be voted out of office as they have created a monster against every woman/mother/girl/aunt/female cousin . Never ever forget what was just done to Women's Civil Rights of Choice.
"We are here for one purpose and that purpose is kill the bill!" Blackburn cried."
And rightfully so - since the Dems bill is flat out unconstitutional.
There is no ennumerated power in the text of the Constitution that authorizes the federal government to force citizens to buy health insurance - or any other product or service.
We could buy private insurance for everyone for about $40 billion a year, but instead we're paying $1 trillion over ten years. Congratulations, Dumbocrats. Next up: the government tells you what to eat, forced immumunizations, and more!
No, no, no. This bill is obviously great! You see, I hate freedom, so this is perfect for someone such as myself. I also want to be told by my governement what kind of car I must buy and where I can drive it, told what to eat and drink, how cold or warm I can keep my home, I mean if I'm allowed to keep my home that is? I know since I pay my mortgage and other bills I may be living to "high on the hog" from the government's perspective and need to give my house up to someone on WIC, but I digress) And again the best of all is how, when, where, and what I'm allowed to have fixed on in my body if it become's broken.
I know, I agree, I'm awful, just awful for working hard enough to pay for the items and services I have. Shameful, just shameful I tell you. Our leaders should be the only people to have shelter whilst the rest of us pile together like savages underneath railroad tressels, but still working though, true dat, yo!!
Sounds like I would have loved West Berlin, I'm sure?
Did you hear the news?! Rush Limbaugh saluted Marsha! RUSH FREAKING LIMBAUGH! OMG!!!

Don't give up, lolabull - it's not over yet.
In their rush to jam this through regardless of what the public thinks, the liberal dems are banking on the notion that once an entitlement program gets enacted, it becomes politically sacred and untouchable forever afterward.
But no Congress can bind the actions of any future Congress. If the liberal dems can be thrown out of power in Congress and also lose the executive branch in 2012, then anything they have passed can be repealed, modified or drastically rolled back.
I think at this point, anything that conservatives don't like, HAS TO, by default, be a good thing. Instead of saying, "Kill the bill," perhaps they could say what they really mean: "Kill the uninsured!"
You are forced to buy home and car insurance! Maybe people have forgotten that. Try purchasing a home with out home owners insurance--you'll never close!
Maybe, just maybe we'll get this thing done, in some size shape or form. And someday, Michele Bachmann and Marsha Blackburn will be seen for what they are, pandering to the status quo when change is really really needed. "Things are great for me, and people like me, so to heck with the rest of you. If you were like me, you'd be okay!"
I don't think Michelle Bachmann is consciously pandering. I think she's just genuinely that stupid. She makes Marsha and Sarah Palin look like five-time champions on Jeopardy by comparison. Marsha is a shameless panderer, although she ain't exactly making the electric meter spin fast either.
