Lamar Alexander Is Sean Hannity's Puppet

Over at ChattahBox, they're making an interesting point about Lamar Alexander's little tirade yesterday in which he warned President Obama is compiling an enemies' list. As we know, Fox News daily regurgitates GOP talking points. But now, it's the other way around, according to ChattahBox. Alexander moved his lips on the Senate floor and the crazy talk of Sean Hannity came out. This was news to Pith. In a state of disbelief, we went to the Google machine to see if this could be true. Could our beloved Lamar sink so low that he's now merely a stooge of Hannity and Fox News? Sadly, we discovered this transcript from Tuesday's Hannity show in which he interviews Liz Cheney and says all the stuff Alexander was saying the very next day in the Senate. We guess Lamar was watching his TV Tuesday night: HANNITY: I think it's that and it's as I've been saying. I think it's almost like they've got their enemies list. For example, there has been a talk about in Congress, some senators, of legislative retribution against the insurance companies because they are against the health care plan. Similarly, they're against any critic. It seems to me, it's almost like an enemies list. Is that a fair description? CHENEY: Well, yes. I think that what you've got is a situation where there are a lot of folks around the president who, you know, grew up playing pretty rough politics in Chicago, for example. I think that there's a level of trying to bully people. I think they're also accustomed to -- they became accustomed to an environment where they just got a lot of adoration. And they don't like to be challenged, and Fox News has sure been, you know, at the top of the list of those asking those tough questions. HANNITY: Right. All right, Liz. Good to see you. Thank you. Appreciate you being here. CHENEY: You, too, Sean. Thanks a lot.

Well, he was recently using bogus data from Glenn Beck to attack cap-and-trade. As we've seen from former Majority Leader Frist, leadership positions in the modern Republican Party can cause one to say and do regrettable things.

Alexander is proving to be a dogged and shameless hack for his party. Kind of disappointing-- but maybe we're wrong in thinking he should know better. Then again there is no other way to succeed in the contemporary GOP. Too bad for him-- this is now how he'll alwyas be remembered.

So, have Fox and Lamar abandoned the crusade against czars for the crusade against an enemies list, or are they doing both simultaneously?
And there's bound to be something else once this enemies list thing plays out. I wonder what it will be....

"As we know, Fox News daily regurgitates GOP talking points."
LOL
You daily regurgitate liberal talking points.
And what I know is that CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and MSNBC are not one iota less biased to the left than you lefties claim Fox is to the right.

Wait ... A GOP Senator who heads the Republican Conference discussing GOP talking points? What an outrage! Turns out Lamar is speaking the truth. See attack on Fox News, U.S. Chamber, Insurance Industry, or anyone who DARES to disagree with Team Obama.

Why, I certainly never had any political enemies. I liked everyone and they liked me. Sure, I had occasional disagreements with some of my good friends across the aisle, but we always worked it out together over cordial conversation.

The most amusing part of this is the spectacle of the White House sending out Anita Dunn, the communications director to make pronouncements on Fox not being a "legitmate" news organization.
This is the woman who thinks Chairman Mao - the greatest mass murderer in history - is a "political philospher" worthy of citing as an inspiration to a high school graduation class.
They just couldn't pick anybody better as a judge of journalistic objectivity!
LOL

On June 5, 2009, Dunn delivered a speech to students at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School of Potomac, Maryland, in which she stated:
"The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Theresa -- not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is: you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before. But here's the deal: These are your choices, they are no one else's. In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over. Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, "How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this, against all of the odds against you?" And Mao Zedong said, you know, "You fight your war, and I'll fight mine." And think about that for a second. You don't have to accept the definition of how to do things and you don't have to follow other peoples choices and paths. Ok? It is about your choices and your path. You fight your own war, you lay out your own path, you figure out what's right for you. You don't let external definition define how good you are internally, you fight your war, you let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path."
On October 15, 2009, Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck aired a clip of the speech on his show and criticized her for her use of the quote and for stating that Mao was one of her favorite political philosophers. In response to the criticism, Dunn said ""The use of the phrase 'favorite political philosophers' was intended as irony..." She also stated that "the Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater."

Mao seemed like a pretty good fellow when I met him in '72. Didn't even have him on my enemies list. That was reserved for bastards like Paul Newman.

Yeah, shame on Dunn for thinking that reality is complex and that sometimes good people can say stupid things and bad people can say smart things. Doesn't she know that we actually live in a cartoon and you're only supposed to listen to people if they're wearing white hats???

Yeah - I'm sure there's a really, really "complex" reason why she's running around trying to single out Fox News as not being a "real" news organization and not saying a peep about any of the others who have been doing their best to carry water for the Obama administration.

is how you can be a right-wing lunatic?
Because as we all know, all conservatives WORK for their own keep. Clearly, you don't work because you're on here virtually 24/7.
And don't give me that crap that you are self-employed: the self-employed folks I know are too busy to waste their time on ANY message board. You're also not likely a trust-funder because that would imply you've had a really good education when clearly you have not.
Nah, my guess is you are camped out in some bureacracy's cubicle trying to hide from your boss and avoid any real work.

All of the Obamabots laughing at this don't know what a grave threat this is!!!!! I know because I recently found out through a White House mole that I am on the list. But they have me actually listed as "Conspiracy Buff" because they don't know my real name! LOL!!! Captain Steve is also on the list, listed, of course as "Captain Steve." This is how incompetent that they are. They even come after us in Black Helicopters. This is also LOL! Don't they know that seasoned veterans of government lies would know to watch out for those! They've been trying to find us for months but have been unsuccessful to date. We are too clever for them!
And you guys will see what Hannity is saying is true when one day you turn on his program and there is no one behind the camera. Or when you turn on C-Span to hear the Senator speak and there is an open mic. It will take their kidnapping by Obama to make you all into believers.
