Democrats are giddy over the upcoming Clinton-Gore visit. So are Republicans: "Every time Clinton and Gore come to Tennessee, it ends up helping the Republican Party, so I say, welcome back," state GOP chair Chris Devaney says. ... Bredesen offers advice to Congress on health care reform: "Maybe there's a time to talk about it, but certainly, right now, this is your problem." Isn't that helpful? Lowery doesn't necessarily think Herenton is crazy. But he says, "I would challenge him to a drug test. How's that?" ... Lottery sales up, profits down. ... Brian Kelsey is the last candidate standing in special election for Stanley's seat. ... Kathryn Bowers is back. ... County collecting $100,000 in Bonnaroo fines. ...Tanner holds teleconference. .... Nearly a thousand people come to another Corker town hall: "I think America has been awakened, and I think that's a great thing," the senator says.

Jeff, I always look forward to your Morning Roundup; it's usually the first thing I turn to when I get to the office. In reviewing news from around the state, you seem to have left out today's Tennessean article about the possible sale of the Scene.

Perhaps the five-column headline wasn't large enough to catch your attention.

Thanks, Henry. Are the rumors finally outpacing the local bloggers?

And now who's left standing to cover Nashville's own media mafia, Henry?
