McMillan's 'Name That Video' Contest

Posted by Jeff Woods on Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at 2:51 PM

Kim McMillan says if you name her first video, you'll qualify for free tickets to the Democrat's big Jackson Day dinner where Bill Clinton and Al Gore are reuniting like Simon and Garfunkel to raise cash for the party. We all know this is just a trick to snag our email addresses for her campaign, but who cares? We'd do anything to see Bill & Al together again. We're trying to decide on Pith's contest entry. How about "Annie Oakley Rides Again!" or "Kim McMillan Makes a Web Video and Uses It to Run a Scam on Voters!" No? OK, we'll think of something.

So what's your problem with her discussion about her qualifications in her video? You don't like determination, honesty, integrity and active listening skills? You prefer to be talked down to, ignored or not respected? What if she were a tall, handsome black or white man with a deep voice? Would her words work better for you, Jeff? Think about it. If you were blind and only read her words by braille, would it sound and look different to you?

What are you talking about, Sueyyyyyyy. I love Kim McMillan. She seems to have perfected the skill of babbling nonstop and sounding smart without saying a damn thing. I think Purcell taught her how to do that. I endorse her campaign for governor right here and now. She's the one.

Oh, the others have said so much? Tell me more. Where's the beef, except in the bulls**t?

Just curious, Jeff: have you ever been at a McM event where she answered attendees questions? She's quite specific, direct and clear on her positions. It's refreshing and helps one make a choice on some criteria other than "who one knows and what he can do for me".

What is her position on a state income tax today? Which position does she offer in the video?

Her comment was that the people of Tennessee want to live within their means so she would find a way to balance the budget with what is provided.
