Bill Haslam demonstrates a serious lack of judgment in agreeing to answer questions from House clown Stacey Campfield in these videos. No good thing could come of this, somebody should have told Haslam. What's he paying Tom Ingram to do anyway?
It didn't turn out as badly as it could have, though. Miraculously, Campfield restrains himself. There are no Bat Boy sightings or demands to check Haslam's birth certificate. In fact, he seems almost normal. How is that possible? Campfield asks lots of pointed questions, most of which are fairly reasonable. In response, Haslam does a lot of hemming and hawing.
He's against the income tax (of course!) but he isn't absolutely sure what he thinks about guns-in bars or pre-kindergarten classes or toll roads or a lot of other stuff. He'd be "very cautious" about letting coal companies blow the tops off our mountains. He didn't know there's money for Planned Parenthood in the state budget. "I didn't know until 20 seconds ago that they got any money." Therefore, he's not sure what to think about that, either.
See Campfield interview Wamp, Ramsey and Gibbons too.
