Give me a break. The "Confederate Battle Flag" is a symbol of Southern heritage. It represents a way of life that was peaceful, God fearin', and family oriented. Things that people, Americans, have forgotten or put on the back burner. People say that, that flag stands for slavery. B.S. 1:that flag didn't even come into being until almost the end of the civil war. 2:the cross ( x ) design on the flag; that is a religious symbol, Saint Andrews Cross. When he was put to death, he said he wasn't worthy enough to be hung on the cross as Jesus was. That's why his "cross" was made in an "x" shape. If everyone would do their research, they'd be surprised. 3:The American Flag flew over Legalized Slavery for 207 years before the southern states ever came into existance. I could go on and on but I don't have the time right now. Look up H.K.Edgerton. You might learn something. Do your research people, don't be dumb.

James, your a great example of why Tennessee is one of the most ignorant, backward and evil places in the western world. Only someone whose mother and father were also first cousins could come up with the twisted logic that you have.

James- the Confederate flag is a symbol of a rouge people who tried to steal some of the states of our fine nation simply because many decided enslaving other human beings was against the God-given rights of said human beings.
Southern heritage? They tried to usurp states from the union and got smacked down for it. If he's so proud, maybe he should get a shirt that says "My kin got their asses kicked and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

JohnnyC and Michael might want to do a bit of reading and research and be a bit more informed before making snide comments like that.
And Johnnyc, couldn't you say virtually the same thing about the founding of the United States?

Freedom of speech my butt. Seems like if the government don't like it you can't do it. Not surprising
