Insiders are yawning over the latest buzz about Ward Cammack's campaign for governor. It's been on life support for so long, no one really cares anymore if the end is finally near. Our smug anonymous sources tell us that Cammack hasn't lifted a finger to raise any money since the beginning of June. And now, he has departed on a month-long family vacation to Alaska. Oh well. He's missing the Davidson County Democratic Party's Honors Dinner Saturday night. He's skipping the Knox County Democratic Party's Truman Dinner Thursday night. He isn't even mentioned in the program. The word is that he'll drop out of the race when he gets back from Alaska. Whatever. Maybe he's having a sitdown with Sarah Palin. She could give him pointers on quitting. Update: Cammack can compete in triathlons but he can't raise money.

Was there a point to Cammack's email?

Was there a point to this post, other than Woods' own obsessing over something he says no one cares about?

No Snafus, that's about the size of it.

Do voters want to see a candidate naked on a bicycle?

To Whom It May Concern,
Although Ward Cammack is not speaking at the Truman Day Celebration, he will be mentioned several time during the program. The Cammack Campaign is one of numerous groups sponsoring the Truman Day Celebration and will have a table at the event to distribute campaign paraphernalia. The Knox County Democratic Party was notified months ago that Mr. Cammack and his family would be on vacation during this event, any rumors to the contrary are simply false.

Zak Kelley

Get your facts right, Jeff. Cammack's gone for a week, not a month. MY insiders tell me he'll be back on the fundraising trail when he gets back in town.

He better get on the fundraising trail. He reported $14K cash on hand last month. That should be gone by now.
Why is this guy staying in the race anyway? He's goofy. He can't raise money. He gives a lousy speech. Is he a masochist?

MY insiders tell me there ain't nobody car-a-zee enough to give big, hairy Carnack any big, hairy campaign cash.
He ain't got no big, hairy cash of his own neither.
Big, hairy Carnack is out of $$$.
