Lamar Drives a Sissy Car and Votes for Sotomayor: What's Wrong with Our Senator?

What's the matter with Lamar Alexander? First, he fights to stop the coal industry from blowing up our mountains. Then he takes up for Sen. Barbara Boxer on the Senate floor and insists Republicans really do want a bipartisan solution to the health care mess. And now for his denouement, he breaks with Republican leaders, tells the NRA to go to hell and announces he'll vote for Sonia Sotomayor.

He's driving a Prius hybrid, for Chrissakes, and he converted it to a plug-in electric car! Is he feeling OK?

Can someone fly in some Honduran soldiers to load Lamar Alexander (R-TN) up on a plane and fly in to Costa Rica? Get him out of the country. Come on -- if this is the future leadership of the Republican Party, we need a coup.

The hard right is outraged, which ought to make Alexander happy. Maybe he is the correct guy to show the GOP the way back to respectability. Nah.

HeyLamarr:
You always dress the part or your
goal. For this one you take the
"...long corded auto...." thinking
this is what the people want to see.
Pretty soon it will be back to your
'red and black block flannel shirt',
from when you wanted to be considered
"....just another guy...."
When you tell OBAMA that the people
have told you they do not want his
OBAMACARE we'll listen to you.

Hey Terri, is that some kind of right-wing Haiku? You should submit that for the next Free Republic poetry contest!

Terri, why don't you compose a sonnet about how you and your ilk want to double the cost of premiums in the next decade, and allow insurance companies to cancel your policy for no reason whatsoever?
Because that's the status quo, and your vile ranting about OBAMACARE is support for that untenable solution, you freakin' mong.

Actually,he is from Maryville and if you hike the trails over there you can't see anything but SMOG.
The White Pines are dying from being infested and hey Lamar way to go Buddy! Now do the right thing on Health Care for EVERYONE .
Its time that our tax money went to help everyone with health care and not just the Congress people and Senators and their aides.
Same health care for everyone not some type of slog health care for Americans .
lets get it right For Americans Sake!

Perhaps Senator Alexander has not lost all sense of morality and sanity. Unlike Senator Corker, who toes the line for the NRA, Big Health Care For Profit Industry, and Rush Limbaugh. Thank you, Senator Alexander for thinking about us instead of where your next campaign contribution will come from.

It's a shame Ed Bryant didn't beat this RINO piece of garbage back in 02.

I am a liberal, pot smoking, guitarplaying, tree hugging hippie from chicago. Truth be told, I have a huge stiffy for obama and anything the is the color blue.
But, I must proclaim, Mr. Alexander is one of the most respectable politicians that I have observed while studying the national political scene. He has true beliefs and sticks to his guns...a truly respectable characteristic. And noteworthy enough, his political views are pragmatic and reasonable!! And by god, he isn't the largest land owner in his home county (hmm hmm...Corker...)
As a citizen of Tennessee and the US, I am truly proud to have a man like Mr. Alexander in public office...we should be so lucky. We need more of 'em.
peace.
