Hargrove / Hicks From the Sticks Obama Town Hall in Bristol, VA Kroger

Obama held a town hall meeting in a Bristol Kroger today, explaining the public option. Before his speech, some 200 yahoos from Appalachia were present for protest, though not a single person the News Sentinel interviewed seemed to be able to articulate a coherent argument against a public option -- or at least one that's actually true. Slogany, substance-lean signs like "Obamacare is Political Malpractice" and "Keep Your Hands Off My Healthcare" were in abundance. Because, Lord knows, our bloated corpse of a health care system is in such good shape, and we're such a healthy and highly insured populace, why mess with it?
