"They didn't know what hit them. Rutherford County is ground zero for conservative politics in Tennessee and we went right into their house and took over their event."

With all due respect, the Tea Party event was canceled 2 days prior. The 7 that showed up are the 7 that didn't check their email. The fact that a well financed special interest group can get 60 people to show up really doesn't impress me. The reality is that the more people read this bill, the more they oppose it. More than half of Americans oppose it as we speak.
I'm 25, uninsured, straddle the poverty line, and I've read the most pertinent portions of the bill. Reality is, this bill doesn't help anyone but people looking for bureaucrat jobs... Change is not automatically positive, and the hard numbers say this bill will cause massive job losses, mass doctor retirement, massive additions to the deficit, etc. This is totalitarianism sold in an emotionally appealing wrapper of pretty but false rhetoric.
You can support the bill if you like, but in doing so you are an enemy of liberty, so just pull out your hammer and sickle flags and be honest about it.

Lying about his biography, or mental midget? No in betweens.
I was uninsured for a good long while, and was 100% not concerned with doctors retiring and 100% concerned about what would happen to me if I were to be in an accident.
"I was uninsured for a good long while, and was 100% not concerned with doctors retiring and 100% concerned about what would happen to me if I were to be in an accident."
That was my experience when I went a few years without insurance (not by choice) during the '01-02 recession. I had two part time jobs and couldn't pay rent + food + car + auto insurance + student loans AND still have enough money to pay my health insurance premium.
And premiums were quite a bit cheaper then, too.
In the meantime, here's Hobo Archie Bunker, who can't get a job that provides adequate benefits, raving about the red threat. Wake up, chump. (Or quit lying about your situation.)
Stephen, I eavesdrop on conservative talk radio in Rutherford County and I heard the idiots at WGNS talking up the Tea Party that same morning. So if anyone didn't get the memo or "check their email box", it was the radio hosts.
And if we're "going to be honest" about things, let's stop with the nonsense about "over half of Americans are against this bill". That's just a lie on so many levels, not the least of which is that the statistic you are citing comes from a Republican push poll by Rasmussen. Meanwhile, back in reality, actual scientific polling shows not only that the American people want healthcare reform now, but that they also want a public option - what you wingnuts call "socialized medicine".
Oh, and the "hard facts" you give about what the bill will do are all lies and just prove to me that you actually have NOT read the bill - you've let your conservative puppetmasters on talk radio do your thinking for you. As usual.
So let's be honest about being honest about healthcare, ok, Stephen?
And if we're "going to be honest" about things, let's stop with the nonsense about "The Government has the power to institute a nationwide insurance program" time for the new revolution... this time its internal.
"Service Employees International Union members are claiming they commandeered a Tea Party rally outside Bart Gordon's Murfreesboro office and turned it into a health care reform rally."
The charter members of the sponge, leech and parasite class are always looking for new hosts to feed off of.
SEIU is just one of many groups attached with ACORN. It's no surprise it has hired people to protest and attack regular citizens.
SEIU is one of the main special interest groups that is actively working with Congress and the Obama administration to write the healthcare bill. So, of course it will go on the offensive. SEIU and its members have too much to lose.
The Obama administration is just as corrupt as Congress, SEIU, ACORN, APOLLO, UAW and Goldman Sachs. All of these organizations are connected and all are taking the American people down a dangerous path. Bart Gordon is just too incompetant to either realize it or care.
SEIU is part of ACORN?? These fanatics have gone too far. They are losing and have no recourse but to lie, and turn around and call citizens for real change liars. I want a national healthcare system that will take care of me and my family. Our country deserves to be taken care of to prevent the spread of disease, just like we need to have public schools. Most of the old folks that are compaining about a public healthcare system are on Medicare. Grow up and get a brain - bunch if illiterate militants
