"Does she have the votes yet to pass it?" "I don't believe so next week. I think the American people want to take a closer look at this legislation. They want to feel comfortable with it, and I think most members of the House and Senate want the same thing. We're still in the earliest stages of drafting reform. We have a long way to go."

Rep Cooper needs to allow his constituents to have the same deal for health insurance that we taxpayers pay for him to enjoy. The GOP, and their Blue Dog lapdogs get a big old H for Hindrance. If these legislators want to prove to me that they care about any of us then they should give up their government health insurance and buy their own on the open market. Good luck and have a nice day.

When will Nashville get a congressman who will represent Nashville? Instead we get Billy Tauzin's little lap poodle.

That's a good idea - not just for them but for EVERYONE else as well.
Get rid of all the government so-called "entitlement" programs and let everyone be responsible for their own self.
Getting anything that you aren't paying for yourself was never a "right" to begin with.
Gilbert - have you ever vacationed in Somalia? You'll love it! Lots of guns. Even in the fern bars! Minimal government. Very smart guys, them Somalis. As a bonus, they are almost as xenophobic as many of your local right-thinkn' buddies.
No Limpy, I'm pretty sure that the state of things that existed in THIS country before the creation of Medicare, Medicaid, etc. wasn't anything at all like Somalia.
Maybe you should take a "vacation" in a mental institituion (on your own dime of course) for attempting to make such an absurd comparison.
