What Will We Do? Missing the Legislature So Terribly Much Already

The legislature went home and that's made Pith in the Wind all misty eyed with memories this morning. It all started with a bang a short 23 weeks ago with Kent Williams seizing power in his corrupt bargain with the Democrats, and the fun just never seemed to stop. There was Susan Lynn's panic attack, Brian Kelsey's extortion attempt, the hysterical shrieking of Robin Smith, the shocking double castration of Gary Odom and Jason Mumpower, the darkly righteous fury of Tony Shipley, Curry Todd's lies, Bobbie Patray's glassy eyes, and the rise of the Children of the Corn, guns, abortion, Obama birthers, teabaggers, Hispaniels and the yellow man, the Senate Republican budget--the list goes on, as they say. Then when we didn't think we possibly could ask for more, there was the fabulous dénouement: all at once Sherri Goforth was a household name, and her charming little picture of those bright white eyes became a new national symbol of racism right up there with Bull Connor's fire hoses. Terri Lynn Weaver. Forever a hilarious footnote to one of the weirdest days in Tennessee history.
My favorite moment from the Speaker election was when Rep. Williams called Rep. Kelsey his buddy. Comedy gold from the gentleman from Carter County.

Yeah, but when they put on their cowboy outfits and sang Camp Town Ladies ... that's what I'll always remember.

I see a great improvement in your writing, I'd love to get in touch. Keep up the great work! Your writing is very inspirational for someone who is new to this type of stuff.
