Chip Forrester goes macho in this video, taunting Republicans like a WWF wrestler: "We're ready for the throwdown, and I'm ready to take Jason Mumpower on." He says winning back the House is the Democrats' No. 1 priority and gives the party's basic 2010 message:
Republicans have priorities reversed and mixed up. They should be concentrating like Democrats on preserving jobs for people, building roads for rural communities and opening them up. And they're not. They're talking about guns. They're rolling back environmental protections and consumer protection laws that we've had on the books for 30 years. That's their priorities and we're going to show the Tennessee people what they do as Republicans. What's interesting, they're in charge now and we've seen what they do when they're in charge. It's only going to be worse if they continue. And I think we'll convince moderate thinking Tennesseans that it's time for a change. You look in suburban communities around Chattanooga and around Nashville. The moderate Republicans and independents, they're very upset with this gun legislation, guns in parks. We've looked and heard that. We're going to be showing people exactly what they stand for and when we do that, Democrats are successful.
