Blackburn Proposes Health Plan: Sunshine and Lollipops for All Americans

Posted by Jeff Woods on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 7:56 AM

Wow! All this time Congress"man" Marsha Blackburn knew exactly how to fix our health care system. Not that ridiculous Democratic plan which would, as she explains, knock 120 million people off the insurance rolls. No, what we need is the Marsha Blackburn Plan: "patient-centered, consumer-driven, access, affordability, options would be there and it would allow individuals and families to make the decisions that they want." We're so glad she's coming forward to set us straight on this. Via Kleinheider.

This is the best the Heritage Foundation can do for a video?
No wonder they work cheap for Cumulus Media.

WTF is she talking about? What does "consumer-driven" mean, exactly? We would send out RFPs on handling our next catastrophic illnesses and take the lowest cost provider?

As long as health insurance is a for-profit business, we will have for-profit Republicans in their pockets trying to keep them in business. Marsha doesn't believe healthcare is a right, but a privilege for people who can pay the $1000-1500 a month for their families to have coverage, or that much for just a husband and wife in their 50's. She sees absolutely nothing wrong with the system as-is and doesn't want the status quo fixed. That's the truth. Why should won't admit it I'll never understand.
Here's a question, Marsha. What makes you so special that you get Federal Health Insurance, but I can't? What makes elected officials better than those who elected them? Let us in on that fab health plan you enjoy, Marsha.
