Lamar Promotes 'Auto Stock for Every Taxpayer Act'

Posted by Jeff Woods on Fri, Jun 5, 2009 at 11:12 AM

"I think Americans are sick of the idea of the government taking over everything and trying to run it ... Let's put it back in the pockets of the taxpayers who bought it in the first place. ... Create a sort of Green Bay Packers attitude among 120 million Americans. Everybody loves the Packers in Wisconsin because they own a piece of them."

Wait a second, if the workers own the means of production and distribution isn't that...wait, what's the word?

"Wait a second, if the workers own the means of production and distribution isn't that...wait, what's the word?"
The word for you is illiterate.
He said give it to the taxpayers - not workers.
It sounds like a good idea to me. It should be given to the taxpayers - each individal one who actually pays taxes and in distributed in proportion to the total dollar amount of taxes each individual paid.
And there's no reason to stop with the auto companies. The preferred stock that the taxpayers bought in all those banks and othter financial institutions should be distributed to the taxpayers as well.
The interest income the government receives on any loans to companies should be distributed also.
The top 50% of income earners pay 97% of all the federal income taxes in the country. It's about time that those who are actually paying for all this stuff get some return on their money.
Just make sure that none of the sponge, leech and parasite class who don't pay any federal income taxes don't get any of it.
They're getting way too much of a free ride already.

The wealthy pay some taxes but many inherit their wealth so they didn't work for it. So no, you don't have to work to pay taxes but someone has to work to make your investments of value unless you invested in real estate or hedge funds. Then it's just all funny money.

The Packers aren't owned by the people of Wisconsin. They are owned by the City and residents of Green Bay.

Let's see...every tax filer would then receive annual reports and all proxy documents. The printing industry has got to love this idea.
